On 22 June 2017, at the Kinam Hotel in Pétion-Ville, Haiti, the multisectoral platform met to undertake the 2017  joint assessment exercise on progress in achieving the strategic objectives of the SUN Movement, in accordance with the new Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning System (MEAL).

National stakeholders engaged in the fight for food security and good nutrition in Haiti (about fifteen representatives of the Government, 4 civil society representatives, 3 from academia and science, 3 donor representatives, 3 United Nations representatives and some from the private sector) participated in the joint assessment exercise, coordinated by the SUN Government Focal Point in Haiti, with the support of the SUN Movement Secretariat and the UNICEF National Office.

This workshop was the first undertaken since 2014 and provided an opportunity to recall the principles of the SUN Movement, showcase examples from other SUN Countries and reflect collectively on current initiatives to set priority actions for the coming year.
