It is one of the key principles of SUN 3.0 to promote country leadership at its global governance mechanisms and to enable active participation from all parts of the Movement. This has shaped the composition of the SUN Movement Executive Committee (ExCom). Currently, there are three open seats in the ExCom for the alternate members who have not yet been recruited through the full refresh in 2021.
SUN Movement Executive Committee
The ExCom is currently co-chaired by Gladys Mugambi, SUN Focal Point from Kenya and Connell Foley from Concern Worldwide and meets on a quarterly basis to discuss key matters related to the governance of the SUN Movement and its networks.
Alternate members are the official replacement for ExCom members and allowed to vote on their behalf. Depending on the ExCom seat, they play a key role in supporting the Executive Committee member to liaise with stakeholders in the SUN Movement and they bring in essential expertise.
