On the 15th January 2015, Action2015 was launched across the globe, over 1,000 organisations are uniting their focus on making 2015 a huge breakthrough moment for development. Physical and online events marked the occasion to create a common platform for all voices to be heard in the lead up to the establishment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
For nutrition, the team at 1,000 Days organised a twitter chat as part of the #Action2015 campaign on the positioning of nutrition in the sustainable development goals. Experts from the nutrition community joined the discussion including Lawrence Haddad, Senior Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute, Asma Lateef Director of the Bread for the World Institute and Jan Werners, the Chief of Nutrition at UNICEF.
