The SUN Movement Pooled Fund

The SUN Movement Pooled Fund is a grant programme that provides funding for SUN countries to help them end malnutrition in all its forms.

Intro

The SUN Movement Pooled Fund was created in 2017. It is a grant programme that provides catalytic funding support for SUN countries in their efforts to end malnutrition in all its forms. The Pooled Fund takes a collective, multi-stakeholder and multi-sectoral approach, and it contributes to the implementation of the SUN Movement Strategy and Roadmap 2016–2020. It builds on the success of the Multi-Partner Trust Fund (2012–2015).

The grants are managed by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and are used to fund and scale up nutrition efforts at national and subnational levels by individual SUN networks, and to support cross-network and multi-stakeholder cooperation in national platforms.

Their overall objective is to create and strengthen an enabling environment for nutrition in SUN countries to sustain high-level political commitment, strengthen multi-stakeholder and multi-sectoral coordination and increase the impact and scale of interventions.
