On 5 February 2014, the multi-stakeholder platform for nutrition in Cameroon met in Yaoundé to watch the first official screening of the film entitled “Tous les efants sont des princes” (All children are princes). The event was organised by UNICEF and brought together viewers from different government ministries, civil society, other UN agencies, the private sector, the Chamber of Commerce and journalists.

As part of the Nutrition Advocacy Plan for Children in Cameroon, the Ministry of Health with the support of UNICEF, developed the 33 minute film (produced by African Earth Films) to educate and inform the general public about child malnutrition and its consequences. It also shared the actions that can be taken at community level to combat all forms of malnutrition. The purpose of the film is to mobilise political will, and efforts of policy makers, donors, the private sector, and all citizens to invest more in nutrition.
