A regional workshop of tools related to financing nutrition interventions took place in Cotonou (Benin) from 28 to 31 October 2014. The workshop reviewed ownership of tools across costing, financial tracking and participatory local impact monitoring of nutrition interventions.
The workshop was organized by the Government of Benin with support from the SUN Movement Secretariat, UNICEF and the World Bank and included delegations from several SUN countries in West Africa. Participants included representatives from relevant nutrition and economy ministries, stakeholders at decentralized levels, and representatives of civil society. The agenda of the workshop was divided into six sessions including plenaries and group work. The workshop allowed participants to learn about information available to help create road-map tools that will allow them to continue their efforts beyond the workshop.
