On 26 August 2014, the SUN Civil Society Alliance in Kenya (SUN CSA) held a four day nutrition and food security advocacy training in West Pokot, North Rift region. This is the first county level training conducted by SUN CSA and represents significant progress in the institutionalization of nutrition advocacy and communication capacity for the alliance. As per other workshops SUN CSA have organised, the event brought together multiple stakeholders, this event included county leaders, government officers and civil society. The consequences of malnutrition to the society was highlighted and the workshop was conducted in the context of the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) and budgets.
