In January 2016, the Scaling Up Nutrition Civil Society Alliance in Nepal (CSANN) released a video documentary to advocate for continued efforts in the fight against malnutrition in Nepal. The film features interviews with various government officials who share that nutrition is being prioritised in the government with the national multi-sector nutrition plan and that implementing the plan is a priority for the country. The multi-sector nutrition plan is led by the National Planning Commission and is an integrated task with many sectors including health, agriculture, urban development, women and social welfare actively concerned. The film also recognises the commitment of Nepal to the SUN Movement and how efforts will work towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The film identifies the important role of the CSANN towards achieving shared goals to reduce malnutrition. The CSANN brings together over 120 institutions active in the nutrition sector, it fulfils a watch dog role for nutrition related activities carried out by the government and donor agencies, it engages with media and is even involved in analyses with the government to understand nutrition budget allocations in the public budget. These efforts and many more are further detailed in the informative video documentary below.
