County level workshop integrates gender and nutrition within agricultural extension services in Liberia

From 19-21 June 2017, a workshop on Integrating Gender and Nutrition within Agricultural Extension Services (INGENAES) was held in Gbarnga, Bong County, Liberia.

From 19-21 June 2017, a workshop on Integrating Gender and Nutrition within Agricultural Extension Services (INGENAES) was held in Gbarnga, Bong County, Liberia.

More than 30 individuals from Bong, Nimba, Montserrado, Maryland, Grand Bassa, Lofa and Margibi counties participated in the workshop which was sponsored by the University of Illinois and the United States Agency International Development (USAID) in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Cuttington University in Suakoko, Bong County.

As a results of INGENAES, women farmers will have improved access to information and training; increased access to appropriate technologies and inputs; and women and men will have better knowledge about good nutrition practices.
