Madagascar Organizes Knowledge Fair to Initiate Community of Practice on Nutrition and Food Security
The National Nutrition Office, FAO and the knowledge sharing platform, HayZara teamed up on 26 November 2013 to host a knowledge fair on nutrition and food security. As an initiation of a community of practice, the meeting allowed participants to share and discuss their practices in terms of nutrition and food security, recognizing nutrition as an essential pillar of development.

The National Nutrition Office, FAO and the knowledge sharing platform, HayZara teamed up on 26 November 2013 to host a knowledge fair on nutrition and food security. This one-day meeting brought together 70 representatives from 38 development actors and agencies with expertise and specializations in the field of nutrition. As an initiation of a community of practice, the meeting allowed participants to share and discuss their practices in terms of nutrition and food security, recognizing nutrition as an essential pillar of development.
Exchanges and sharing from the event will be made available on the HayZara portal for participants and other development partners to continue their discussions. In the long term, it is hoped that this process should enable actors in the field of nutrition and food security to organize similar fairs in the future to continue the exchange and sharing.
