On 30 July 2014, the SUN Civil Society Alliance (SUNCSA) in Kenya brought together multiple stakeholders for a nutrition advocacy training in Machakos Country, Kenya. Particpants included representatives from government, civil society, business, academia and the media.

The four facilitators, who were all trained by ACTION Results Initiative in Zambia and Kenya, led the three day workshop. They were;

  • Titus Mung’ou, Action Against Hunger
  • Manaan Mumma, Kenya Aids NGOs Consortium
  • Lina Njoroge, Total Lifestyle Change
  • James Adede, Grassroots Alliance for Community Education Africa

Participants set four objectives to be implemented at national and county level. Participants also agreed on the inclusion of nutrition sensitive topics in the country nutrition advocacy training agenda. The country level nutrition advocacy training will take place from August to October and target representatives of civil societies and government.
