Call to Action FB GraphicIn September 2015, on the occasion of the 70th United Nations General Assembly, the International Coalition of Advocacy on Nutrition (ICAN) launched a Call to Action on Malnutrition. The Call to Action encourages global leaders to make new investments in nutrition at the 2016 Nutrition for Growth Summit in order to end malnutrition.

During the 2016 Rio Olympics in Brazil, the Government of Brazil will invite Heads of State to a second Nutrition for Growth event to intensify policies that promote environments that encourage healthy and adequate diets. This is a follow up to the first Nutrition for Growth event in 2013 where leaders from around the world signed the Nutrition for Growth Compact and agreed to review progress made towards their goals at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

More than 50 organizations have signed on to call on world leaders to invest in nutrition. Learn more and add your name to support the call for increased nutrition funding at Thousand Days: A CALL TO ACTION TO ALL GOVERNMENT LEADERS
