On Tuesday 17 December 2013, the Minister for Planning, Development and Reform, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, launched the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement to help eradicate malnutrition in Pakistan.
The launch marked the government’s commitment to invest in nutrition to improve the situation of the most vulnerable and marginalised groups. In collaboration with international partners, they signed a declaration of commitments to scaling up nutrition in Pakistan.
