Progress on SUN Country interest in nutrition budget analysis exercise

As of the 5th March 2015, 30 countries including 2 observer countries, have confirmed their participation with the SUN Movement Secretariat in response to a “Call of Interest” about the tracking of nutrition-relevant budget allocations.

A team from the Institute of Development Studies are providing remote support to the countries who have requested assistance, to compile the financial data based on the sources and parameters provided by the countries. Over the coming weeks, all countries participating in this work will be able to get a better understanding of how to identify and weight budget allocations for nutrition, in collaboration with a variety of in-country stakeholders and gain an impression of how the data may be presented in the 2015 Global Nutrition Report.
