From May 3 to 5 2016, Action Against Hunger, in partnership with the Scaling Up Nutrition Civil Society Network (SUN CSN), UNICEF, Save the Children and Terre des Hommes, gathered in Dakar, Senegal, to discuss the political and financial commitments necessary to fight against undernutrition. The workshop brought together nearly 40 civil society representatives from 12 countries in West & Central Africa, and Madagascar.

In a joint declaration prepared during the meeting, participants reaffirmed their commitment to support governments in the fight against undernutrition and called on States to act quickly, through acknowledgments and implementation of both financial and political commitments for nutrition.
