School event in Niger brings people together for nutrition

On 21 May 2014, as part of the SUN Civil Society Network Global Day of Action, the Niger Civil Society Alliance held a primary school event with students, teachers, parents and representatives from multiple ministries, the European Union and UN agencies.

The event featured children advocates calling for implementation of efforts towards the achievement of commitments made at the nutrition for growth summit, the adoption of a national nutrition policy and the need to ensure nutrition integration in the post-2015 development agenda on the occasion of the UN General Assembly.
