From 7 to 8 July 2016, SUN Government Focal Point, HE. Jean -Baptiste Ondaye, Secretary General of the Presidency, held a workshop in Brazzaville to identify and discuss budget allocations which contribute to the improvement of nutrition.

Representatives from over twenty ministries were joined by UN agencies and development partners for a two-day exchange about the means by which the current sectoral investments could be improved to enhance their impact on nutrition.

The workshop results in a number of concrete recommendations including the integration of nutrition in the 2017-2021 National Development plan and an increased focus on the role of advocacy and the importance of engaging with parliamentarians.
