Toolkits to support the organisation of national resource mobilisation events available

Before the COVID19 pandemic, several Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) member countries indicated their ambition to hold national Resource Mobilization events in the future (2018/2019 SUN Joint annual assessments, 2019 SUN Global Gathering in Katmandu). The recent outbreak and the projected aftermath of the pandemic impose further challenges on the food and nutritional situation—and consequently on the availability of both domestic and external financing for nutrition. It is becoming even more critical for the success of these national plans to mobilize and effectively spend the allocated resources towards SUN countries’ priorities and actions.

During its third phase (2021 to 2025), the SUN Movement will support all SUN countries to raise additional funds for the implementation of their national nutrition plans. The SUN Movement Secretariat is pleased to inform all SUN member countries and SUN stakeholders that new tools and guidance are now available to support countries in hosting national Resource mobilization (RM) and financing Roundtables for nutrition.
