January 2016: The UN Network/REACH Secretariat has initiated a participative process with UN colleagues for developing the UN Network and REACH 2.0 Strategy, 2016-2020. A number of actors were consulted, including colleagues from the UN agencies at the global, regional and country levels, REACH facilitators as well as stakeholders from other SUN Networks. This strategy will address the recommendations of the REACH independent evaluation and will build on the SUN Strategy 2.0, the supporting SUN Roadmap and the UN Global Nutrition Agenda (UNGNA) v.1.0.

Further consultations were held in parallel with UN colleagues at the regional and global levels in early February to define the UN Network’s outputs within the SUN capability work streams of the new SUN Roadmap. These efforts involve the articulation of the role and responsibilities of the UN Network (including the relevant UN agencies, REACH) within the SUN Movement, the timeframe of these outputs and collaboration/linkages with other SUN Networks, as appropriate.

New UN Network for SUN Tools and Resources

A series of tools and resources are available to guide the work of the UN Network for SUN at the country level. Some of these materials have been developed explicitly for the UN Network for SUN, such as the UN Nutrition Inventory, UN Nutrition Strategy/Agenda and UN Network Dashboard. Other materials, including UN Joint Programming, refer to the UN more broadly. Learn more about these tools and resources by visiting the new webpage on UN Network for SUN Tools and Resources.
