On 7 May 2014, the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon met with the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) in Rome, Italy.  During his visit, the Secretary General expressed his hope that the CFS will be used as a global inclusive forum to address food security and nutrition to achieve a world without hunger. He also highlighted that important initiatives such as the Zero Hunger Challenge and the SUN Movement should be supported by all member states, the business community and civil societies.
