Asia Regional Peer-to-Peer Learning Event on Food Labelling

Food Labelling can effectively protect consumer health in terms of food safety and nutrition.  Labels on food convey information about the product’s identity and contents, and on how to handle, prepare and consume it safely.

Join the Scaling up Nutrition (SUN) Movement, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) for an interactive Peer-to-Peer Learning Event on Food Labelling

Main Objective: To provide a platform for exchange among key country stakeholders about needs for and experiences with food labelling in interested SUN countries in the Asia region.

Specific objectives:

  • Get to know and review in a participatory manner global and country level regulatory frameworks and guidelines for food/nutrition labelling 
  • Share experiences, i.e. good practices and challenges with food/nutrition labelling
  • Develop country level roadmaps for advancing the food/nutrition labelling agenda in the concerned countries.

Audience: SUN Coordinators and representative(s) of relevant country food and nutrition labelling bodies, FAO and WHO country representatives in the ten SUN countries under the  Asia Hub.
