Senior officials of the SUN Donor Network renew their vision and roles

On 21 November 2016, members of the SUN Movement Senior Donor Officials Group met in Geneva to renew their vision and roles to ensure optimal alignment with the new SUN Movement Strategy and Roadmap (2016-2020).

Donor agencies represented were the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Global Affairs Canada, European Union Development Coorperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development (France), Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (Germany), Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (Germany), Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Ireland), Permanent Mission of Japan in Geneva, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (The Netherlands), Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (Switzerland), Swiss Agency for Development and Coorperation, Department for International Development (United Kingdom), United States Agency for International Development and the World Bank.

The full day meeting included prioritisation of efforts, an overview of future engagements and the identification of opportunities for further alignment in approaches across SUN Countries. Joint strategies were discussed on advocacy messages, private sector engagement and enabling countries to unlock more national funding. The roles of Senior Officials and Donors Convenors in SUN Countries were also reviewed to maximise the effectiveness of their contributions.[/vc_column_text]Learn more about the SUN Donor Network[/vc_column][/vc_row]
