Experiences in the promotion of breastfeeding and complementary feeding in the first thousand days of life in Costa Rica

Experiences in the promotion of breastfeeding and complementary feeding in the first thousand days of life in the services of the National Directorate of CEN-CINAI in Costa Rica are aimed at promoting the adoption of healthy feeding and nutrition practices among pregnant and breastfeeding women, including adolescent mothers and mothers living in poverty or extreme poverty, with low educational levels and at social risk. To this end, educational activities related to nutrition, food and promotion of breastfeeding are organized in the communities.
