On 17 December 2016, the exposition “Wallu Doom” brought hundreds to Pikine city, to the east of Dakar city centre in Senegal, to get involved in activities about complementary feeding. The exposition was the final step to a behaviour change strategy put in place across the country. Parents of young children, women of reproductive age, breastfeeding mothers, grandparents, community leaders and media were key spectators at the event.

From 13 to 17 December 2016, a delegation from Côte d’Ivoire embarked on a learning exchange with colleagues in Senegal on the topic of converging nutrition interventions. Convergence across sectors is a priority area for Côte d’Ivoire’s National Multi-sector Nutrition Plan (Plan National Multisectoriel de Nutrition 2016-2020). The learnings from the visit will help inform the delegation on decentralising the plan to regional, departmental, communal and village level nutrition committees.

From 16 – 17 November 2016, the civil society platform for nutrition in Madagascar (Plateforme HINA), in partnership with the National Office for Nutrition and Action Contre la Faim, organised an event that brought together actors from across sectors for two days of celebration, sharing and learning.
