Namibia: Commitment Pledged to Scaling Up Nutrition

Illustrating the high-level national political commitment for scaling up nutrition, 13 Governors representing all regions in Namibia met in Windhoek in August 2011 at the invitation of Prime Minister Angula, to build awareness about the nutrition situation in the country and all the respective regions. The regional Governors were galvanized into action and at the close of the meeting all 13 participants signed the Declaration of Commitment pledging their support to scale up nutrition.
