Moving the Nutrition Agenda Forward in Bangladesh

National and international experts shared recommendations and perspectives in a policy discussion on “Scaling Up Nutrition; An Urgent Call for Commitment and Multi-Sectoral Action” held at BRAC Centre yesterday. BRAC organized this roundtable in the lead-up to the Nutrition Conference in New York at the end of this month.

National and international experts shared recommendations and perspectives in a policy discussion on “Scaling Up Nutrition; An Urgent Call for Commitment and Multi-Sectoral Action” held at BRAC Centre yesterday. BRAC organized this roundtable in the lead-up to the Nutrition Conference in New York at the end of this month.

Representatives from UNDP, UNICEF, USAID, WHO, DFID, AUSAID, World Bank, FAO, WFP and many other representatives from different ministries of the Government of Bangladesh, as well as journalists joined the policy discussion.

Another meeting, with discussion on multi-sectoral approaches to nutrition, was held at the offices of the Daily Star newspaper on Saturday 7th September.

Prothom Alo (the largest daily Bangladeshi language newspaper) published an article “Political Commitment Needed to Eradicate Malnutrition” summarizing the main points of the event.
