Window 1, Cycle 3

In 2019, the Consultative Group decided to use additional funding provided to the Pooled Fund to support action in 15 SUN countries. This action was designed to accelerate and expand private-sector engagement and investment in national nutrition efforts through the SUN Business Network.

The funding will help to increase local capacities to engage the private sector in nutrition and to raise awareness of how the private sector can contribute to advancing the national nutrition agenda in a sustainable way.

Support to the SUN Business Network falls under Window 1, Cycle 3, as the grantees are considered to be “in-country non-state stakeholders”. This funding package took the form of a USD 3.1 million sub-grant to the World Food Programme to fund pre-identified projects.

Projects began in the first quarter of 2020.
